Michael has 10 years of experience working in the human rights sector working as a project manager for various NGOs on information management, journalism and freedom of speech and as a digital security consultant and -trainer in the field in countries such as Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Venezuela, Cuba, Ukraine and Kurdistan. He has worked with at-risk human rights defenders, journalists and activists who were or became participants of emergency assistance programs. Furthermore, he has conducted evaluations of similar programs. He has practical experience both as a consultant and as an evaluator for security-related projects.
