Tiziana Heck
PROJECTS LEAD
Tiziana is supporting Project Phoenix remotely through her contributions as a Project Lead. A certified TEFL-teacher, she co-leads our Professional English and Mentoring Programme since its inception in spring 2020. Previously, Tiziana focused on the Research and Innovation work at Project Phoenix, supporting the project management of Migration Jam 2020 and co-hosting a panel discussion with international speakers. In addition, Tiziana conducted research on the social innovation work of our Fellows in response to the onset of the pandemic.
Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology: Sustainable Citizenship at the Utrecht University in the Netherlands, Tiziana is conducting her final thesis research on community-led projects of the international transition town movement. She seeks to apply her research on practices of collective resilience-building and imagination and hopes to support the community-inspired development of Project Phoenix’s social innovation lab in Cyprus.
